Apprentice – Digital Marketing
Location: Luton or Birmingham (Hybrid – virtual working with in-person meetings approx. once a week)
Reports to: Director
Duration: Full-time, 18 months
Pay: National minimum apprenticeship hourly rate
Start date: January 2026 or sooner if we can find the right person. (Nb: applicants must be over 18 years of age by the start date)
Qualification: Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship
About the Role:
We are a growing small business that delivers impactful services to the 3rd sector. This is our first time recruiting apprentices, and you'll be among the first of many, joining us at an exciting time of growth.
As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to build your skills across content creation, design, video production, and digital marketing. You'll contribute to a variety of projects while studying towards a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.
We're looking for someone who is genuinely interested in marketing, digital media, and brand development, and who wants to bring fresh ideas and creativity in a small, supportive team environment.
This is a unique opportunity where you'll be working across multiple live projects and accounts, gaining exposure to a wide range of marketing challenges and client needs. You'll be expected to switch between different brands and priorities, which will help you develop a versatile skill set. It's a role that offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a visible impact while learning in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and produce materials for digital and print, including:
- Newsletters
- Social media graphics
- Posters, flyers, reports, and presentations
- Marketing collateral (banners, tablecloths, business cards, etc.)
- Edit and produce video and audio content such as event videos, social media clips, and podcasts
- Retouch and edit photos for marketing use
- Write and schedule engaging content across social media platforms
- Draft high-quality copy for newsletters, websites, and campaigns
- Maintain and update WordPress websites:
- Creating and updating pages
- Managing plugins and integrations
- Overseeing user access
- Manage email accounts (setting up addresses, maintaining distribution lists)
- Monitor and report on campaign performance
- Research audiences, competitors, and content trends
- Liaise with colleagues and external contacts to gather information, approvals, and feedback
- Occasionally attend events to support content capture and marketing activities
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong command of written English with excellent spelling and grammar
- Working knowledge of:
- Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
- WordPress or other website management platforms
- Social media scheduling tools
- An eye for design and attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will play a vital role supporting day-to-day operations, communication, and project coordination. You will gain valuable hands-on experience across a variety of tasks while studying towards a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.
We're looking for someone who is genuinely interested in business administration, operations, and supporting colleagues in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
This is a unique opportunity where you'll be working across multiple live projects and accounts, gaining exposure to a wide range of marketing challenges and client needs. You'll be expected to switch between different brands and priorities, which will help you develop a versatile skill set. It's a role that offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a visible impact while learning in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily administrative support including preparing documents, reports, and presentations
- Manage scheduling, maintain diaries, and coordinate meetings (virtual and in-person)
- Write professional emails and communicate confidently with clients and contacts by phone
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and project trackers
- Monitor timelines, deliverables, and deadlines
- Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, and finance administration tasks
- Support website updates (updating content and managing access)
- Manage email accounts and distribution lists
- Conduct research and compile information for reports and proposals
- Liaise with colleagues and external contacts to gather information and provide updates
- Occasionally attend events to support administration and logistics
Skills & Attributes:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional phone manner and ability to write clear, professional emails
